| Summit Dharma Center Financial Support |
When you give to Summit Dharma Center, you support...
- Our monthly budget, which is approximately $9,800.
- Our driving 2,000 miles each week to bring you the Dharma, yielding a fuel expense of over $1,300 on average.
- Ringu Tulku Rinpoche and his compassionate activity in Europe, North America and Asia.
- 11 Dharma classes weekly across Colorado, from Denver to Aspen.
- 4 Jail outreach classes, teaching meditation and peaceful living.
- A 7-year system of study, paralleling traditional monastic education.
- Your local teacher and director, Gen-la Chokyi Dhakpa and Lhakpa-la.
- Your visiting teachers, like Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, Zoran Lazovic and many others.
- Your retreat center & one of the LARGEST Buddhist libraries in the country, an extensive audio & video collection, inspiring artwork, and our sacred space for practice.
- Your long-term retreat center in Sikkim, India, and your future community teachers' training.
- Your local community practice spaces.
- 2 retreat cabins available for your individual use.
- Your community of 7 monks and nuns.
- Individual meditation instructions.
- Your own spiritual growth and awakening.
Our mission is to bring the Dharma to suffering beings everywhere. Your donations to Summit Dharma Center makes that possible.
Our suggested donation schedule is as follows:
- $15 per class -OR-
- $60 per month
- $150 per Retreat -OR-
- $200 per Retreat when a high lama is visiting from out of the country (e.g. Ringu Tulku Rinpoche)
Some retreats are more expensive simply because of the massive distance (over 10,000 miles each way) high lamas, such as Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, must travel
from outside the US to bring us amazing teachings.
Donations can be given in local classes in the donation box or mailed directly to:
Summit Dharma Center
(make check payable to Summit Dharma Center)

We understand that not all people are able to afford the above schedule, and as such, we offer work-study
for those that are in challenging financial situations. However, work-study should NOT be used as a method
to "discount" a retreat that you probably could afford. There is tremendous merit in supporting your Sangha
financially, and even more merit in contributing higher amounts to assist those that cannot afford to pay full
price for retreats.
Under NO circumstances will we ever turn away anyone who lacks the financial resources to attend classes
or retreats. Please see our frequently asked questions for more information.
The Summit Dharma Center is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization. We strive for total financial transparency. Our statements
are available upon request. Please contact the Webmaster for a copy.
