Cascading Joy: The Bliss of Bodhicitta

Weekend Meditation & Teaching Retreat led by Phillip Hedrick

November 11 - 13 in Colorado

Many practitioners do not experience the other worldly joy of mindfulness meditation.

This weekend's retreat will be based on the development of the Jhana of Sukka, or great bliss. Through deep meditation on calming the breath, body formation, sensations and emotions, we will experience the subsiding of our worldly thoughts, emotions and stressful states of mind. These will gently  be replaced by the other unworldly bliss of Sukkha.

As we become more calm and at one with the breathe we  will learn how to use the breath to generate this Great Bliss with compassionate intention. This practice is also known as Tummo or Inner Fire, in Tibetan " lam ki mango-do" or "foundation stone of the path." It is fundamental to the realization of illusory body, clear light, and realization itself. The practice of joy/bliss enables subtle level of consciousness to be realized and for penetrative insight to unfold with ease.

The retreat is open and anyone may join us for this fascinating and joyful retreat.

May you experience Great Bliss! - phillip
