The Summit Dharma Center regularly organizes visits to other Buddhist countries as part of a cultural and spiritual exchange to deepen your own understanding and practice.
These trips will connect you on a visceral level with the teachings you practice on a daily basis. We often visit the historical sites where the Buddha himself, or famous students of the lineage, have either practiced, taught, or discovered new teachings.
Past Pilgrimages have included such countries as:
- Tibet and Nepal, including a visit to Everest Base Camp (2003)
- Bhutan and India (2004)
- Footsteps of the Buddha--A Pilgrimage to India's Most Sacred Buddhist Sites (2006)
- Footsteps of the Buddha--A Pilgrimage to India's Most Sacred Buddhist Sites (2007)
New pilgrimages are announced each year with many months lead time to save money and prepare for international travel. These trips are amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experiences that are not to be missed.
