This retreat will focus on how karma, our conventional view of the world, works in accordance with the ultimate nature of reality - emptiness. The retreat will explore the sixteen emptinesses from examining interdependence all the way to the practice of mahamudra. In each step the logic of compassion will be highlighted - the necessity of compassion given that our world is projected.
This retreat will have a special focus on the 16 Emptinesses combined with focused meditations on compassion. In addition, we will also have a special Yoga for Meditation class in-between sessions for those who would like to participate.
There is no higher wisdom in Buddhism than understanding the play of karma and emptiness. All study and practice hinges on this single point of wisdom. Come and understand it on a deeper level than you have previously experienced before.
The Alpen Hutte is a beautiful mountain lodge located in scenic Silverthorne, Colorado. This will be our first retreat at this wonderful setting.
