Gen-la Chokyi Dhakpa and Ringu Tulku Rinpoche

Vast as the Heavens, Deep as the Sea is a series of verses in praise of Bodhicitta written by Khunu Rinpoche-- a monk revered by many—especially His Holiness the Dalai Lama—as the very embodiment of altruism. The late Khunu Rinpoche Tenzin Gyaltsen devoted his life to the development of bodhicitta—the aspiration to achieve enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings.

The monk Khunu Rinpoche (1894-1977) was born in Kinnaur, India, and educated in Tibet. A lifelong student and teacher, he taught, among others, the current Dalai Lama and other Tibetans after being exiled from their homeland in the 1950s.

Gen-la Chokyi Dhakpa will be bringing this immensely important text to life, praised as a classic in the same vein as Bodhisattva's Way of Life by Shantideva, sharing deep insights from this profound tome of wisdom and explaining how they apply to our lives today.

The text may be purchased through Wisdom Publications. Each participant should bring a copy of this text with them to retreat. Presented in both English and the original Tibetan, this modern classic is a collection of Khunu Rinpoche’s inspirational verse.

This retreat will be held at the beautiful and newly remodeled Summit Peaks Lodge, in Silverthorne, CO, just north of I-70 at the Silverthorne exit. Lodging is available and requires separate nominal payment of $20 per night. Space is very limited for this retreat, so early signups are encouraged!
