The Work Study program is intended to facilitate participation within the community for those that are experiencing financial challenges in their life. Retreats and classes are valuable experiences for all who participate. We do not require full payment for retreats if you are not able to do so, but we ask that you make up for the difference in what you contribute fiscally with an equivalent amount of volunteer effort for the community.

We take the Work Study program seriously and expect that if you participate in it, that you fulfill your obligations in kind. If you cannot fulfill your duties it will prevent your ability to participate in the work study program in the future. If you do participate in the Work Study program, you will be asked to sign a contract so that everyone understands what is expected of them for this exchange. We want the program to be fair to everyone, while allowing participation from everyone in the community, regardless of situation.

**To calculate your discount, multiply the % to the suggested donation amount and subtract from the total. For example: if your sliding scale discount is 40% (=.40) and the suggested donation is $200 (for a retreat), then .40 X $200 = $80 discount, therefore, $200-$80 = $120
